After obtaining your degree

After obtaining your degree

Our courses train you to become a fully qualified eurhythmy teacher, allowing you to teach in Waldorf schools and regular schools alike, both at the primary and secondary level. Teaching adults as a freelance eurhythmist is possibility, too. Moreover, this qualification enables you to continue your studies in order to obtain a degree in curative eurhythmy. And of course, you can also opt for a career as a performing artist. Let yourself be inspired by the interviews with different eurhythmists on the following page:

‘Passionate eurhythmists’.

Eurhythmy

Eurhythmy is a modern art of movement that is unique in the world of dance. Eurhythmy enables you to express the essence of a piece of music or a poem, with your entire being – body, heart and soul – serving as your instrument. Eurhythmy allows you to get in touch with the spiritual values hidden in ourselves. In schools, eurhythmy is practiced to help support the children’s development.

Department of Dance in Education. Do you want to teach a form of expressive art of movement and are you seeking personal spiritual growth? Then the BA Dance/Eurhythmy programme is the teacher training course for you!

Welcome

Small-scale but with an international focus

The small scale of the department and personal nature of the courses make for a vibrant atmosphere. And because about fifty percent of the students are from other countries than the Netherlands, the department has a very international focus. Although the language of instruction is Dutch, you will often hear a mix of German, French and English. Hardly surprising then that many of our graduates embark on a career abroad.
